How my journey led to creating Anara Skincare for women who want simplicity without compromise
This week, I connected the dots on something that’s quietly shaped my entire career.
Over the past 25 years — from the early days of e-commerce to building a luxury skincare brand — I’ve been supporting the same woman.

A career rooted in women’s needs
In 2001, I joined Ocado as part of the pre-launch team. We were building one of the UK’s most innovative online grocery experiences — designed to make life simpler, more convenient, and more seamless for people with full lives. I left 14 years later as Head of Customer Marketing, proud to have helped shape a brand that put the customer first, always.
In 2015, I co-founded a wellbeing business that brought beauty and wellbeing services directly into the homes and offices of time-starved women. That same service evolved to become part of employee wellbeing programmes for some of the UK’s largest organisations. Again, the goal was the same: convenience, quality, and care for women who were doing it all.
And now, I’ve created Anara Skincare — my lifelong dream, and the most personal project yet.
