Waterless vs Water-Based Skincare: Balancing the Conversation
I’ve been thinking a lot recently about the conversations happening within skincare. Particularly around waterless formulations being the better choice and the growing idea that water itself is somehow the problem, both for the skin and for the environment.
But things are rarely that black and white.
Should safe, gentle skincare still be considered a niche choice?
The beauty space is full of products packed with harsh preservatives and questionable ingredients. Things that may keep a cream “good” for years… but what about the impact on our skin and our health?
If it's not safe in pregnancy, should we be using it at all?
It's a question we asked ourselves when Anara was just a distant dream and it's a question that subsequently became the basis on which Anara was born. But it's also a question that challenges the norms of the beauty industry.
